Hussein, 40, lost his son, Mohamed, to cholera in a displacement camp. “My son was ill for just a few days,” Hussein said. “Cholera is going through the camp—that’s how he caught it. More than 10 people have died in recent days.” Hussein took on debt to pay for food and medicine and has no way to repay it. Hussein is one of the 3.3 million people in Somalia who will struggle to survive without emergency assistance.
