Mental health in America has been plagued by unfounded negative stigma and continues to be a very real barrier to getting help and information. That is why Get-right! is committed to fighting against stigma as part of its mission by partnering with other organizations in support of ending stigma about mental health and physical health in America. Get-Right! works with other organizations across the United States to raise awareness about mental health and physical health issues and that support community initiatives that address these issues.
Today’s families are overstressed and under-supported in so many ways. So many families are at a loss about what mental health is, and do not know much about basic physical health. In addition to old fashioned and incorrect information about it, they also deal with negative stigma. So many people can not afford to seek out basic information due to personal finances or insurance issues. It is fantastic that many families do want to make changes to improve their overall health and only need easy access to useful information in a safe way. Get-Right! wants to make learning and implementing this information an easy, inexpensive, positive experience for families. Mental health and physical health should be a good and positive part of life that makes people feel good. Attitudes and lifestyles are formed at a very young age, therefore when children are provided information and opportunities they always do their best to make better choices for themselves and their own families.
