VIDEO: People living in poverty in Manilla, Phillapines.

When I see people living in poverty (especially kids), the thought that I have is: “That could’ve been me.” When I think about the good things that have happened in my life, I really can’t attribute it to anything other than luck. Even my hard work is a result of being the kind of person who finds that appealing and being in environments that pushed me to do so. Both of those could have been drastically different, had I been born somewhere else as someone else. I find that this worldview naturally leads to greater empathy. But when you realize that you could just as easily have been them, the predominant feeling that comes up is compassion. Watch video at https://www.facebook.com/oneminutedk/videos/890626167755832/
